I created a model of a skyscraper inspired by bubbles. The entire building is made up of bubble modules that are constructed of glass, allowing the structure to blend in with its surrounding environment. Before making the model, I put together different compositions using hemispheres to see which layout would be best visually. I had some difficulty placing the spheres on top of each other but played around with balance to ensure the building wouldn’t collapse. I studied the dodecahedron which is a twelve faced polyhedron. I crafted different sized wooden dodecahedron structures and placed them into clear spheres. I also made a drawing on Illustrator.
